Native Species
The native species are the creatures that first roamed in the Savage Era. They make up the most of the population of the social classes save creaturas diana. The native species have more options of occupation than any foreign creature.
The Eurasian Wolf:
Brief Description: A subspecies of wolf native to the areas of northern Asia and Europe. It differs from other wolves by having longer, higher placed ears, narrower heads, and coarser fur. They can also be called the forest wolf, European wolf, or common wolf.
Dimensions: 105-160 cm in length, 80-85 cm in shoulder height, and weigh on average 70.5-110 lbs (32-50 kg).
Eating Habits: Moose, red deer, roe deer, and boar are the usual diet of the eurasian wolf.
Uses in the Empire: Eurasian wolves have seemingly unlimited uses. Many eurasian wolves are of the high ranking because of their size, heritage to the land, and their common place in the Empire. Lots of eurasian wolves make for great gladiators because of their talents as warriors. That leads to many immunes as well.

The Eurasian Lynx:
Brief Description: The eurasian lynx is a feline native to the European and Siberian forests, south Asia, and east Asia. IT is also known as the European lynx, common lynx, the northern lynx, and the Siberian or Russian lynx. It is the largest lynx species.
Dimensions: 80-130 cm in length and 70 cm at shoulder height. Males tend to weigh 40-66 lbs(18-30 kg) and females tend to weigh 18-46 lbs(8-21 kg).
Diet: The usual diet of an eurasian lynx is rabbit, marmots, squirrels, dormice, wild boar, moose, roe deer, red deer, and reindeer.
Uses in the Empire: Much like the eurasian wolf, the eurasian lynx can serve for many purposes. They are a popular species in the Empire and often make up the high ranks, and army.

The Red Fox:[/size]
Brief Description: The red fox is the largest of the true foxes. The red fox is short but long in appearance and usually sports a red coat. The red fox is also very agile.
Dimensions: 45-90 cm in length and 50 cm in height. The tails, since they are often long, measure at 32-52 cm. They weigh 4.9 to 31 lbs(2.2-14 kg).
Diet: Red foxes usually feed on small mouse-like rodents like voles, mice, ground squirrels, hamsters, gerbils, woodchucks, pocket gophers, and deer mice.
Uses in the Empire: Red foxes usually make their place in the small areas of the Empire, such as plebians due to their small sizes. Though some advance to high ranks such as senators and priests.

The Forest Wildcat:[/size]
Brief Description: The forest wildcat is a small cat found in Africa, Europe, and south west and central Asia, India, China, and Mongolia. The wildcat's differ between nativity but European wildcats resemble heavily built tabbies with bushy tails, white tails and throats.
Dimensions: Males measure 43-91 cm in body length, 23-40 cm in tail length, and weigh 11-18 lbs(5-8 kg). Females measure 40-77 cm in body length, 18-35 cm in tail length, and weigh 6.6-11 lbs(3-5 kg).
Diet: Forest wildcats usually eat dormice, hares, hamsters, brown rats, water voles, voles and wood mice. Other wildcats in different areas may prey on other species.
Uses in the Empire: Much like the red foxes, forest wildcats usually keep away from the legionary ranks because of their small size. Most do well as plebians. Though some advance to high ranks such as senators and priests.

The Golden Jackal:
Brief Description: The golden jackal is a canine native to northeastern Africa, southeastern and central Europe, Asia Minor, the Middle East, and southeast Asia. The golden jackal is not related to other jackals but related to the grey wolf and coyote. It is also known as the common jackal, Asiatic jackal, and gold-wolf.
Dimensions: 60-106 cm in body length, 44.5-50 cm in shoulder height. Tail size of 20-30 cm. Males tend to weigh 13.9-33 lbs(6.3-15 kg). Females weigh 15.4-24.7 lbs(7-11.2 kg).
Diet: Golden jackals tend to eat common voles, bank voles, small roe deer, and hares.
Uses in the Empire: Golden jackals are something of a rarity in the Empire but are similar to the eurasian wolf in terms of uses. They make themselves present in all social classes. Some golden jackals that originate from Africa are even slaves.
